statue Charles Karel Buls fountain by Vincent January 22, 2008 written by Vincent January 22, 2008 3.3K The Charles Karel Buls statue is found at the Agora Square right next to the rue du marché aux herbes. It’s a memorial in the honor of Charles Buls who was mayor of Brussels from 1881 until 1899. He is remembered most of all today for his fight to vote laws to preserve and fund the restoration some of the best known jewels of the city like the Grand Place that are now considered a UNESCO World Heritage site. brusselsbruxellesCharles Bulsstatue 2 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail Vincent previous post Gare centrale next post Cirio Cafe You may also like Manneken-Pis and the Order of the Brussels Moustache April 25, 2021 Leopold II & Baudouin statue vandalized in Brussels June 14, 2020 War Pigeons commemorative statue June 24, 2008 Girls statues outside the EU Charlemagne Building February 27, 2008 Statue Saint-Michel au Marché au poissons February 22, 2008 l’Homme de l’Atlantide statue February 20, 2008 Compte Charles Woeste statue February 14, 2008 Godefroid de Bouillon statue February 7, 2008 Don Quichotte et Sancho Panza February 2, 2008 Queen Elisabeth statue January 29, 2008 2 comments Jacque Adkins November 22, 2011 - 9:13 pm Beautiful. Not a grand sight as some fountains go but enjoyed some leisure time with friends. Was very busy area, had to come back for a closer look. I thought it was related to Erasmus book"l'Eloge de la Folie"but the latin title is "Stultitiae laus" Reply Leave a Comment Cancel Reply Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
